Yu Yu Hakusho

In much of both Chinese and Japanese mythology, the world is divided into the living and spirit world. The world of Yu Yu Hakusho has characters that represent both worlds. The central character, Yuusuke originates from the living world while Kurama and Hiei and Botan are native to the spirit world. The story is mainly about the clash of these worlds. Yuusuke is assigned with the task of investigating the demon world and protecting the living world from it.
